My work takes several shapes and forms which explore sound and listening in today’s digitally-mediated society. Through my artistic, curatorial and community work, I reflect on the philosophical and socio-political implications of a subject that listens and is listened to. My musical background and critical theory studies have taken me on an exploration around the ways in which technology, sound, culture and politics come together. Some of the places where I've shown work are: the Mexican National Museum of Modern Art, Museo Experimental El Eco, National Center for the Arts of Mexico, No Idea Festival (Austin), They, Who Sound (Houston), Music Unlimited (Wels), CTM (Berlin) and Het Hem (Amsterdam). My practice is rooted in the experience of listening as the focal point for creating sound experiences, text, and performances that draw attention to the necessity of listening to the other, and with the other. I currently live in Amsterdam.
